St Margaret’s Allotments, Church, Churchyard and Centre Open Day

Almost 100 allotments open to visitors against the spectacular backdrop of Durham Cathedral, with the chance to speak to gardeners, many using organic methods. Six acre churchyard rich in nature and history, with 500 gravestones plus Commonwealth war graves, and a guided history walk. Norman church open to visitors. St Margaret’s Centre open to visitors to showcase work supporting mental health and wellbeing, including a community café and craft sales. Music on the allotments. Scarecrow competition. A National Garden Scheme event.
